Stephen Brockwell – Presenter at Autodesk University 2014
Stephen Brockwell founded Brockwell IT Consulting in 2007 to provide independent business and technical leadership to the Autodesk geospatial community. The depth of his experience in the geospatial and utility industries has provided a strong foundation for the services provided by Brockwell IT Consulting. These specialized consulting services for the industry require not only extreme attention to detail but also creativity in a solution that changes possibly outdated technology into current and relevant IT infrastructure with minimal upheaval of the organization.
Stephen started out as a Software Engineering Manager at GeoVision GIS. He managed the development of the GeoVision products, many of which are still at the core of a large number of utilities. During this time period, Stephen developed skills using innovative Oracle-based auditing and transaction management tools. Subsequently, he worked as a Software Engineering Manager for SHL VISION* Solutions specifically focusing on VISION*Electric and VISION*CAD for AutoCAD. During this time he implemented comprehensive Rational Method for software engineering including the specification, design, coding and testing.
When SHL VISION* Solutions was acquired by Autodesk in 1999, Stephen joined the Product Management team at Autodesk and developed key strategies for product integration of AutoCAD Map with enterprise technology from VISION* and CPlan (Topobase). This functionality is still at the core of AutoCAD Map 3D 2015. Stephen’s experience throughout the government and private sectors has led to his exceptional skill in providing a pragmatic and impartial approach to creating an innovative solution.
Stephen has been a regular instructor at Autodesk University for over 10 years and has also presented at Oracle Open World and Oracle Spatial User’s Conference.
Stephen will be presenting 4 sessions at Autodesk University 2014 in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay from Dec 1st – 4th. Join him at Autodesk University 2014 and register before October 19 to receive $500 off regular priced registration.
